Qualifications Qualification required: A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level is essential, or a relevant schedule 3 qualification as listed on the CORU website, with at least 6 months recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs. Proof of successful registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker or proof of application in progress with CORU is required. Skills/abilities required: proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector; understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism; proven ability to work on own initiative; proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCPs; placing the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities; delivering support according to the person’s PCP and care plan; fluent English and excellent communication skills; full, clean driver’s licence essential.
