Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Wexford

Environmental Health&Safety Manager - Wexford Morgan McKinley are partnering with a leading multinational food manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Environmental Health&Safety Manager for a flagship production facility in Wexford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly automated, large-scale manufacturing environment and play a key leadership role in driving EH&S strategy, regulatory compliance, sustainability initiatives, and safety culture across site operations. The Role Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the Environmental Health&Safety Manager will lead all aspects of Environmental, Health&Safety performance on site while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing EH&S systems, managing regulatory compliance, leading risk management activities, and driving a proactive safety-first culture across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop site-wide Environmental, Health&Safety strategy and programmes Drive a strong behavioural safety culture across all departments Ensure compliance with EPA, HSA and all relevant regulatory requirements Manage emissions, effluent, waste, recycling and environmental reporting Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions Support production and maintenance teams in embedding EH&S best practice Manage risk assessments, business continuity planning and fire safety initiatives Drive continuous improvement projects focused on sustainability and energy reduction Lead and maintain accreditation standards including ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and related systems Liaise with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies Monitor EH&S KPIs and lead site performance improvements Requirements Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health or related discipline Minimum 5 years experience in an EH&S leadership role within manufacturing, food, dairy, pharma or regulated industry Strong knowledge of EH&S management systems and regulatory compliance Experience managing audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proven ability to influence culture and drive engagement across teams NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualifications advantageous Whats on Offer Opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturing organisation Strategic leadership position with significant site impact Strong long-term career progression opportunities Competitive salary and benefits package Collaborative and high-performing environment For a confidential discussion or to learn more, please apply directly or contact Morgan McKinley today.TLNT1_IJ
