Tiglin Challenge is seeking a CE Support Worker to join our Ashford Men’s Residential Programme. This role involves providing direct support, supervision, and guidance to residents as they progress through their recovery journey in a structured residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support to residents through supervision, intervention, and engagement
Support residents with medication routines and maintain accurate medical log records
Assist in arranging health appointments when required
Facilitate group activities and group work sessions
Support Key Workers with care plans and resident casework
Record resident activities and progress on internal systems (e.g. ECASS)
Report all serious incidents to the Team Leader / Key Worker in line with safeguarding policies
Maintain a safe, secure, and high-quality living environment
Mediate disputes and encourage cooperation through brief interventions
Assist with referrals and linking residents with relevant community services
Complete administrative duties including documentation, reports, and incident logs
Actively participate in staff meetings and team communication
Adapt to changing priorities in line with organisational needs
Teamwork&Professionalism
Work collaboratively with the Centre Manager, Key Workers, and wider staff team
Demonstrate a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude at all times
Represent Tiglin Challenge positively when engaging with residents and external agencies
Maintain professional boundaries, self-awareness, and conflict‑resolution skills
Skills&Attributes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to support individuals with complex needs
Good organisational and record‑keeping skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn internal systems and safeguarding procedures (training provided)
Previous experience is desirable but not required, in line with CE ethos
Eligibility This position is funded under the Community Employment (CE) Scheme. Applicants must meet Department of Social Protection eligibility criteria.
