What You’ll Be Doing

Leading and developing the Equipment, Shipping & Receiving teamManaging all aspects of equipment lifecycle: procurement, validation, calibration, maintenance, and obsolescenceOwning and optimising maintenance and CAPEX budgetsDriving performance of outsourced calibration and maintenance contractsProviding technical expertise and support to field teams and global affiliatesDelivering chargeable technical training across the SGS networkSupporting and delivering specialised global customer contractsEnsuring compliance, traceability, and adherence to quality standardsManaging critical spare parts, stock, and shipping logistics (including IATA compliance)Leading continuous improvement and ensuring SGS remains at the forefront of new gas testing technologies

What You’ll Be Working With

You’ll be responsible for a highly specialised and diverse equipment portfolio, including:

Gas Chromatographs (lab & portable)FTIR systemsOxygen, moisture & NDIR analysersParticle counters and environmental monitoring equipmentSampling systems and gas cylindersAutoclaves, lab equipment and more

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience in a similar technical or equipment management roleProven expertise in gas analyser maintenance or manufacturing (essential)Established relationships with analyser manufacturers (advantage)A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to “get stuck in”Strong organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to lead, coach and develop technical teamsExcellent communication skills and a collaborative approachA natural curiosity for emerging technologies and innovation in gas analysis
