Staff Nurse - High Dependency Unit (HDU) - Dublin

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Staff Nurse - High Dependency Unit (HDU) to join a leading private acute hospital setting in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and clinically skilled nurse to join a dynamic critical care team providing high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and enhanced nursing support.

The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced, highly supportive environment, delivering safe and effective care to a diverse patient cohort with a range of acute and complex medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients within the High Dependency UnitClosely monitor and assess patients requiring enhanced observation and clinical supportManage and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate mannerAdminister medications and treatments in line with hospital protocols and NMBI guidelinesSupport airway management, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive monitoring as requiredCollaborate closely with ICU, medical, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomesMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationEnsure adherence to infection prevention and control standards at all timesProvide emotional support to patients and families in a high-acuity settingContribute to the ongoing development and improvement of HDU services

Requirements

Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registrationMinimum 1-2 years' experience in acute care, HDU, ICU, or emergency settings preferredStrong clinical assessment and decision-making skillsExperience in monitoring acutely unwell patientsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentStrong commitment to patient safety and quality care

Eligibility

Stamp 4 or EU Passport holders only at this stageMust have full eligibility to work in Ireland without sponsorship
