Food&Beverage Assistant - (Full-time / Day team), Ballyfin

We are excited to announce this amazing opportunity for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our One Star Michelin Star Restaurant.

We are proud to have Ballyfin Demesne hold 3 Michelin Keys located at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in Co. Laois. We are also the proud recipient of a Michelin star for our fine dining restaurant headed by our talented chef, Richard Picard Edwards.

Our Guest Experience is of the utmost importance at Ballyfin and as such exceptional Customer Service is a must.

We are looking for a hardworking individual who has previous experience working in a Michelin‑star restaurant. The successful candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, exceptional customer service and teamwork.

This is a full-time, permanent position, 5 days over 7 days, Monday to Sunday.

We are looking for Full‑time individuals to join our breakfast / lunch team at Ballyfin. This position will be working 5 days over 7 days, from approximately 7am to 3/4pm.

As a Food and Beverage Assistant, we expect you to be passionate about the service you provide to our guests and have a genuine interest in customer service, food and drinks. In your role, we will provide you with excellent training to allow you to be confident in what you do and also have the confidence to communicate with our guests.

We are looking for people with the right attitude and commitment to the job. A comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training will be provided. Having experience in a luxurious establishment is not essential but is an advantage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintaining, storing and keeping up table and glassware.

Setting up tables for the various service periods.

Welcome guests in the appropriate manner.

Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed.

Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests.

Clean tables, complete closing duties and re‑stock tableware and other supplies.

The ideal candidates must have:

Great conversational skills and teamwork‑oriented.

Positive outlook and outgoing personality.

Excellent interpersonal skills and fluent English.

Immaculate grooming.

2 years previous serving experience would be an advantage.

Own transport is advantageous and working hours are flexible.
